Patterning replica/cosplay weapons holsters

We will be making a pattern for a holster using both a replica old west revolver and a Nerf gun commonly modded for cosplay.  The techniques used are based on holster done in leather and work for most guns, but can be adapted for other materials.  Some techniques could be applied to make holster/carriers for other cosplay items.

This is a forum for a show and tell + discussion about distressing and creating patina surfaces on props and costumes to get the appearance "of the right level of "wear." Both permanent and temporary techniques will be discussed. Different techniques appropriate to a variety of surface materials, including fabric, leather, plastic, and metal, will be addressed.
